Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) Training

The FDA requires a Certified Food Protection Manager certification for at least 1 person per food establishment (temporary & retail establishments are exempt). The in-person course is offered at Gilmer County Health Department when 4 or more people sign up, or can be completed online with in-person or online proctoring of the exam. Students can also study on their own without taking a course, and have their test proctored online or in-person. Cost per student for the in-person course is $175 which includes the study book and exam. The course lasts approximately 12 hours over 2 to 3 days.  In-person proctoring of the exam is also available at Gilmer County Health Department, and takes approximately 2 hours. The cost for in-person proctoring is $50 when you purchase the book and exam on your own. If you need a study book ordered for you, the price for in-person proctoring is $150. To register for the in-person course or proctoring, call or text 304-462-9234 or register online. The ServSafe Manager, 7th Edition, Revised Edition study book and exam sheet or the the study book without the exam sheet can be purchased here if you wish to study on your own.
